Malaga was the Spanish province with the highest population increase in 2020. The province registered 12,747 more inhabitants, of which 7,430 had non-Spanish nationality.
The British led the migratory flow, with 5,050 citizens who settled in the province, according to the INE’s Migration Statistics. The province had 1,696,252 inhabitants as of January 1, 2021 and the Spanish population stands at 47.4 million people
